15th feb 2006---- Day - 1----- Heidelberg
This was the first sight which greeted me at Heidelberg. "The Great 3 legged horse which swallowed a smiley mask" of Heidelberg. Jokes apart, this mascot of the heidelberg printing press company IS quite impressive.
So after checking in at the Mariott where my bro was booked in, I was advised to head to the castle on foot, in the cold, by the river! The only sad thing was that it was also RAINING!
Heidelberg is a beautiful city with the river nekar bisecting it. Its got all the charm, and warmth of a small town with cobblestones, steeples, inns, castles and pretty girls:)

Once i saw this sign, i knew i was in the right direction!
Im sure a lot of you have played RTCW. I got the distinct impression that I was mysteriously teleported to Wolfenstein when i reached the schloss

I have conquered the castle. I know it like the front of my palm!
The great Philosopher wig. a silver hand bust. with an anti american slogan! I guess the philosophising was in the journey. "The journey was definitely the reward"
some nice grannies we met at the philosopher wig. ( philosophers way btw) and my pretty company for the day
Dinner was at an inn/pub "palmbrau gasse" with deepak!
